A four year old  was referred to our office by his grandmother.  The child had not been diagnosed by his medical doctors, but at 4 years old he is not able to walk, talk, sit up on own, or feed himself. His eyes would constantly rollback in his head and he could not focus his eyes for more than a few seconds at a time. He has not been able to have a bowel movement on his own without laxatives since birth. His mother “fired” his recent pediatrician as during her last visit the pediatrician said to her, ” I don’t know why you keep bringing him here, he’s not going to get any better”. The mother said that this CRUSHED her! She then called our chiropractic office and we set up a consult and explained that while we didn’t know what to expect when we adjusted her son, OUR job is to release the pressure off of the child’s nervous system, and allow his body the best chance to heal. We told her that we would evaluate every 6 visits and see how he progressed. After his FIRST adjustment his mother states that he was able to focus his eyes on her for several minutes without them rolling back, AND…… He had his first bowel movement that night without laxatives! The next day he had 3 big bowel movements on his own!! He has not had to take any laxatives since beginning care with us! His mother said that her family and friends are looking at her funny, because she is so excited about him pooping, and she can’t stop talking about it. He has been coming in for about 6 weeks now and continues to make progress. He now makes eye contact with me and smiles when you talk to him.
